I was searching for a way to allow my reader to share posts in various bookmarking sites, twitter, facebook etc.
I found out about addtoany.
addtoany has buttons for share and subscribe buttons.
Google already provides buttons for subscription. So I just thought lets just have the Share button.
There are many options for customizing the button.
Once the button is finished.. Then depending on where your blog is hosted, addtoany provides codes for Wordpress, Blogger, Joomla, Drupal, Typepad etc. However these are the codes for widgets and what I wanted was a share button for every post. However I was pretty lucky cause addtoany provides codes for that only for blogger and Typepad.
Adding a widget to the supported hosting services is just a click away. But to add the button to every post the code needs to be added to the template. The instructions are given with the code. It was pretty easy in fact.
Adding the button to the template causes the button to be added to every post in the blog and there are a really large number of site to share it!!

Ok so I've been blogging for more than a year now. And I'm not impressed. So I go to all the services Google provided long back to track my blog readers aka "Analytics and Feedburner".
Then I realised I've been neglecting my blog quite a lot. There are some People who actually read my blog!!
There are quite a good number of subscribers, which I really never expected. After all I don't really blog so regularly.
So lesson learnt, I need to give more time to my blog. So the first thing my blog needs is a grand makeover. But such a grand thing must have a very humble beginning. Or does it really?
I thought whats the best way to improve something like a blog.....Well ask the readers!!
Well guys and gals , Please suggest what I need to change in my blog. Any suggetions are welcome. Really ANY!!
Just come and say anything you like, dislike or wish my blog had it. You can tell what you might like to read in future posts. What you might not like. Basically just give some feedback.

I use Google Docs as my primary Word Processor, Spreadsheet and Presentations. Its really relieving to have left the MS World!!!
But then the world is infected, with spies from Microsoft, hell bent on making my life miserable. And I've made some of them my good friends. They'll very diligently mail me their latest work in the latest ".docx" format. and i'll be like $#%^@##$%. How To Convert MS Word 2007 formats like docx,pptx,xlsx!!!
But now there are many reasons to cheer. First of all Google Docs now supports those latest formats. And second of all there are many Online Document Convertors other than Google Docs too.
Particularly notable is www.cometdocs.com.
It has really helped me before Google Docs started supporting MS2007 formats. Until the next release of MS Office, its good bye to Cometdocs as Google Docs has it all.

There is without any doubt no match for 7zip as an archiving program in the free and Open source category. However the windows client doesn't automatically associate itself with all archiving file types. However its easy to associate them.
Start the 7zip File Manager from start menu.
Go to Tools -> Options and select all the options or whichever file types you want 7zip to be associated with.
